Top Boholano pulmonologist favors placing Bohol under enhanced community quarantine (ECQ) to help stop the spread of the virus causing the Coronavirus disease (Covid).
Dr. Bryan Cepedoza expressed his opinion in an exclusive radio interview over NEWSMAKERS program on Apr. 19, 2021, hosted by Ardy Araneta-Batoy and Gloria Leodivica Ines Araneta.
Moreover, Cepedoza said that the Covid situation in the province is alarming. The room occupancy of local hospitals is increasing and the supply of medicines being used to treat Covid is getting low.
Meanwhile, he quipped that he favors putting any person entering Bohol to undergo a 14-day quarantine instead of relying on polymerase chain reaction (PCR) to prevent the entry of people who might harbor the virus.
He said that the PCR test is prone to false negative results that could lead to the entry of people who are actually Covid positive and spread the virus.
