Bohol Inter Agency Task Force (BIATF) spokesman Dr. Cesar Tomas Lopez revealed today, Friday, Apr. 30, 2021, that there are 91 Capitol personnel who tested positive for Coronavirus disease (Covid) following the series of swab tests related to contact tracing activities of the Provincial Health Office (PHO).

Lopez released the said information during the provincial government-produced radio program today.

He added that the number of Covid-infected Capitol employees might go up as the PHO awaits the release of additional polymerase chain reaction (PCR) test results.

The BIATF spokesman said majority of the Covid-positive Capitol employees are from the Provincial General Services Office (PGSO), Provincial Treasurer’s Office (PTO) and Provincial Budget Office (PBO).

Lopez said the infected employees are isolated in the Central Isolation Facility in barangay Dao.

About 90% of the infected Capitol employees are asymptomatic, while 10% of patients exhibit mild symptoms, he quipped.

Only 1 infected employee with co-morbidity is currently admitted at the Gov. Celestino Gallares Memorial Hospital (GCGMH), Lopez reported.

Meanwhile, the Provincial Capitol reopens on Monday, May 3, 2021, after it closed down for a four-day disinfection activity, which started on Thursday, Apr. 29, 2021.
