Dauis mayor Marietta Sumaylo is slated to distribute today, May 11, 2021, the hazard fee to the town’s barangay health workers (BHW) and barangay tanods at the Dauis gymnasium, a report from the local government unit (LGU) says.

The same report adds that around 180 BHWs and 166 barangay tanods will each receive P1,000 as hazard fee.

The hazard fee is a cash assistance, which is the LGU’s way to show its appreciation to the voluntary service of the BHWs and the barangay tanods during this time when the town is facing the threats of the Coronavirus disease (Covid) pandemic.

Based on the report of the Bohol Inter Agency Task Force (BIATF) released on Monday, May 10, 2021, Dauis has 59 active Covid cases and is second only to Tagbilaran City.
