Vice Gov. Rene Relampagos expresses his support to the plan of staging the licensure examinations of the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) here in Bohol.

This comes as Gov. Arthur Yap and PRC Central Visayas regional director Narcival Randie Taguiqui and chief administrative officer Gerdel Bordadora met on June 7, 2021 to initially discuss the plan to conduct the licensure examinations for teachers and criminologists here, according to a report from the office of the Vice Governor.

The said plan was a result of the overwhelming requests from the would-be examinees in the province who are having a hard time going to Cebu due to the Covid-19 pandemic, and most especially because of the expenses.

During the brief meeting, Gov. Yap said that the Provincial Government of Bohol (PGBh) is greatly willing to provide all the assistance PRC needs to hold the examinations in the Bohol by providing the venue and staff to assist during the examinations.

Moreover, it was also discussed in the meeting, the possible expansion of services of PRC in the province to cater to the needs of the Boholanos.

Meanwhile, Relampagos and the entire Sangguniang Panlalawigan (SP) have expressed their full support of the plan to conduct the said licensure examinations stating that they would be eager to pass legislative enactments that will facilitate the conduct of such examinations.
