Boholanos pass Sept. 2021 physician licensure exams


Boholano examinees were able to pass the Sept. 2021 Physician Licensure Examinations, according to various reports.

As of press time, some of the Boholano passers of licensure exams given on Sept 2021 according to reports are Dr. Monique Torralba Bullecer, Dr. Justin Clark Sanchez Erigbuagas and Dr. Ina Leaux Magbanua.

Dr. Bullecer earned her Medical degree from the Cebu Institute of Medicine.

The Cebu Institute of Medicine is also the top 1 performing school in the physician licensure examinations for Sept. 2021.

Dr.  Erigbuagas also earned his medical degree from the Cebu Institute of Medicine.

He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Agricultural Biotechnology from the University of the Philippines-Los Baños.

He is also the head of the Alpha Musigma Phi of the Cebu Institute of Medicine.

Furthermore, Dr. Erigbuagas traces his roots to Bohol, according to former Cooperative Development Administrator Benjie Oliva.

Another successful examine is Dr. Magbanua. She studied medicine  at the Matias H. Aznar Memorial-College of Medicine.

She earned her Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy degree from the University of San Carlos in Cebu.

The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) announced on Sept. 24, 2021, that 1,084 out of 1,545 examinees passed the said physician licensure examination.

The physician board exams or the licensure exams for professional doctors were conducted on September 11-12 & 18-19, 2021 at testing centers located at Baguio, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Legaspi, Lucena, Tacloban and Zamboanga.

The tests were conducted by the Board of Medicine headed by Dr. Eleanor B. Almoro, Chairman and its members, Dr. Godofreda V. Dalmacion, Dr. Zenaida L. Antonio, Dr. Rafael R. Castillo, Dr. Raquel S. Sayo and Dr. Martha O. Nucum.

The examinations in Metro Manila were cancelled due to Typhoon Kiko, the PRC said.

The no. 1 spot is shared by Maria Inez Sellado Benedicto of West Visayas State University-La Paz and Jude Philip Pozon Cebracus of the Cebu Institute of Medicine where both garnered a rating of 87.83%.
