PFP endorses Sara Duterte-Carpio’s VP bid

The Partido Federal ng Pilipinas (PFP) released a resolution endorsing the candidacy of Davao City mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio for vice president.

In a document provided to The Bohol Tribune, the PFP, the party has given full authority to its presidential bet, Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. to choose his running mate.

As Duterte-Carpio filed her certificate of candidacy (CoC) on Nov. 13, 2021 under the Lakas-Christian Muslim Democrats, the PFP came out with the resolution endorsing the candidacy of the Davao City mayor for vice president.

The Commission on Elections (Comelec) spokesman James Jimenez said that there is no law preventing candidates belonging to different parties to campaign for each other.

As this developed, the PFP considers Duterte-Carpio as Marcos’ running mate for the presidential elections next year.
