In compliance with the requirement under the law for the appointments of department heads, the Sangguniang Panlalawigan of Bohol (SP) led by Vice Governor Rene Lopez Relampagos confirmed via a resolution on Tuesday, Nov. 16, 2021, the appointment of Atty. Julius Gregory Delgado as the new Provincial Legal Officer (PLO).

Delgado is one of the columnists of The Bohol Tribune’s. His column’s title is Stare Decisis.

In a letter dated Nov. 10, 2021, Gov. Arthur C. Yap requested the august body of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan for the confirmation of the appointment of Delgado as the new PLO, effective Nov. 10, 2021.

More information about Atty. Delgado can be read on page 3 of Trending.

According to Delgado, he was born and raised in Tubigon, Bohol. He finished his Bachelor of Arts in Public Administration at the University of the Philippines-Diliman in 2004 and Bachelor of laws at Ateneo de Manila University in 2008. He was admitted to the Philippine Bar in 2009. He is married to Atty. Marie Nickie H. Bolos-Delgado of Dauis town.

After passing the Bar, Delgado immediately joined one of the biggest law firms in the country, the Villaraza Cruz Marcelo and Angangco law firm. He worked in this firm for around nine years before he joined a mining company. While employed in a mining company he worked in one of the biggest mining projects in the country.

Delgado started his connection in the Provincial Government of Bohol (PGBh) when he was asked by the former PLO to primarily review the mining ordinance of the province.

When Yap asked Delgado to join full time, the latter did not hesitate as he finds it a very rare opportunity and privilege to work in the PGBh, according to reports.

As a consultant at the PLO, Yap asked Delgado to assist in various office resolutions, environment-related issuances, and review of ordinances.

“I’m immensely happy and profoundly grateful for the trust and confidence bestowed upon me and I’m looking forward to working with all of you, the SP, and the executive offices of PGBh,”Delgado said.

Meanwhile, Relampagos congratulated Delgado for his new appointment.
