First Wedding Anniversary

Zhann and Nyzel is celebrating their first year wedding anniversary today. They got married on November 21, 2020.

Their love story started during their high school years. 

Zhann started to court Nyzel in 2016 and from that year, love between the two of them never stopped to bloom. On July 19, 2017 Nyzel gave her “YES” to Zhann. Two years after, Zhann proposed to marry Nyzel.

Let us take a look at their wedding celebrated a year ago.

Our bride, Niezel Desiree Cano is from Poblacion, Catigbian, Bohol. She is the second among the five children of Froilan Cano Sr. & Marites Cano. Nyzel works at the Finance/Accounting Department of the University of Bohol.

Our groom is Zip Lastimosa Jr. and he is also from Poblacion, Catigbian, Bohol. Zip is popularly called Zhann by his friends. He is the eldest of the five children of Zip Lastimosa & Leonora Lastimosa. He is a Seafarer and is working at the Bright Maritime Corp.

The Zhann-Nyzel wedding ceremony, which started at 1:00 in the afternoon of November 21, 2020 was held at Our Lady of Assumption Shrine Parish in Dauis, Bohol with Rev. Fr. Jonas Lubiano as the main celebrant & Rev. Fr. Raindy Alpuerto as con-celebrant.

The wedding banquet, after the church ceremonies, was held at the Grand Ballroom of the Metro Center Hotel with the members of Nyaman Photography as the photo artists covering the event at the same time, the photo booth provider.

During the program at the wedding reception banquet, Ernesto Rulida and Sarah Mortejo, the principal sponsors gave their well-wishes while Zip Lastimosa, the groom’s father & Ivony Grace Fullido, the bride’s sister, shared their words of wisdom with the newlyweds.  
Aside from “SMILE”, Philippines, other suppliers who provided services during the celebration were: Tito Leyson as florist; Yan Tiempo and his team for hair & make-up; Music and Lyrics as the church choir; Janice Bacolot for the cake and cupcakes; Mackie Pro for the lights and sounds; and J-Ann Ariate and Fedrianne Villanueva as music entertainers.

”SMILE, Philippines” handled the on-the-day wedding coordination with its director, Gloria Leodivica I. Araneta who also served as church commentator and event master of ceremonies. Special mention is given to Lyn Ceniza, a registered nurse,  who led the group called the health marshals of ”SMILE, Philippines”, an added feature of the event coordinating group to monitor the anti-Covid protocol mandated by law.
