“Christmas is not only a season; it is a state of mind, it is feelings of joy, love and sharing,” Cong. Edgar Chatto said as he addressed Capitol officials and heads of offices during the launching of the Capitol Belen on, Dec. 1, 2021.

“The Belen is symbolic and inspires the family of the resilience of the family,” Chatto added.

He said the message for this year’s Christmas celebration is about thanksgiving for blessings and fruits of efforts led by the leadership of Gov. Art Yap and Vice Gov. Rene Relampagos in steering the response to and recovery of the province from the pandemic.

Chatto joined the Capitol’s Christmas Belen launching, which is part of celebrations of Boholano Christmas tradition organized by the Provincial Government, together with provincial officials and Tagbilaran City Mayor John Geesnell Yap II.

This year, the Provincial Government will also hold Belen and Daygon contests which will be participated in by various local government units (LGU).

Gov. Yap reiterated his message of hope for Bohol which stems from the unity of Boholanos to surmount challenges.

Msgr. Harold Anthony Padilla blessed the Capitol’s Christmas Belen.

The launching of the Capitol Christmas Belen also featured performances by the members of the Management Executive Board, the Loboc Children’s Choir and the Lungsoranon Performing Arts Ensemble of Tubigon.
