UB at 75: Committed to Transforming Lives for a Great Future

It has been more than seven decades since the University of Bohol (UB) has become part of people’s lives – not just here in the province – but also in other places of the country.
On Dec. 10 and 11, 2021, the University celebrated its 75th year Foundation Anniversary and 51st Charter Day. Most of the activities were done virtually with the in-person events allowing limited number of participants due to the health and safety protocol.
The University of Bohol, led by its President, Dr. Victoriano B. Tirol III, lined up activities including the launch of a commemorative stamp by the Philippine Postal Corporation (PHLPost). UB is known, not only because it is Bohol’s first university, but also because it is the first institution in Bohol to be honored with a commemorative stamp.
The UB has become an institution of higher learning because it has invested in ensuring that it is able to provide top-notch and quality education.
At the core of the University is its faithfulness to the mission of providing quality education to the students who choose to learn within its halls.
The mission of the University is to provide quality education anchored on the trinity of virtues: Scholarship, Character and Service.

It has been a mission of UB to develop self-reliant, self-sufficient, and globally competitive students with the right knowledge and skills.

The University serves as an anchor for students who aspire socially acceptable ends, charitable, God-fearing, and morally upright.
