Cong. Edgar Chatto made the rounds of first district towns immediately after the rage of typhoon Odette to check on the extent of the damage brought about by the typhoon.

Before New Year’s Day, he also beefed up relief efforts as he personally led the distribution of health kits to Albur, Antequera, Balilihan, Catigbian, Corella, Cortes, Dauis, Maribojoc, and Sikatuna towns.

In Baclayon, Panglao, Calape, and Loon, Chatto distributed health kits and water filters for the residents of island barangays.

Health kits for Tagbilaran City and Tubigon barangays will also be distributed in a future time, reports say.

Chatto partnered with the Provincial Government of Bohol (PGBh) for the health kit distribution program aimed at addressing primary health care needs 

of people especially following the wrath of the typhoon.

Chatto also helped in facilitating, through the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), the distribution of family food packs to the typhoon victims in the first district

Furthermore, the solon also turned over to the towns, assistance from friends and donors who reached out to him after the typhoon.

Chatto thanked House Speaker Lord Alan Velasco, Deputy Speaker Paolo Duterte, Deputy Speaker Loren Legarda, Sen. Francis Tolentino, Sen. Grace Poe, Sen. Sherwin Gatchalian, Sen. Sonny Angara, and Sen. Kiko Pangilinan for their support and donation to and for the typhoon stricken families.

Moreover, Chatto thanked Sen. Joel Villanueva, Sen. Cynthia Villar and former Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Secretary Mark Villar, the group of Manuel V. Pangilinan and the group of Dr. Jose Pepito Amores for their donations and help to the people of his district.
