Third district Cong. Kristine Alexie Tutor (2nd from left) reveals that the Candijay gymnasium is picked out as the Department of Social Welfare and Development’s (DSWD) food hub serving the nearby towns of the 2nd and 3rd districts of Bohol, affected by typhoon Odette. Also in the photo are DSWD regional director Rebecca Geamala (extreme left), Candijay mayor Christopher Tutor (3rd from left), Candijay’s Municipal Social Welfare and Development Officer (MSWDO) Flyn Maquiling (2nd from right) and DSWD Asec. Rudy Encabo (extreme right). The lady solon said the planning for a food hub started a week ago. The DSWD has chosen Candijay because of the town’s strategic location. Goods coming directly from the DSWD will be pooled, stored & distributed to the nearby local government units (LGU) from the food hub in Candijay. The food hub will enable faster dispatch of relief to those in need especially in towns in the 2nd and 3rd district which are near Candijay town. The food hub project received full support from the LGU of Candijay. The information was relayed by the lady solon on Jan. 10, 2021. Contributed photo
