Vice Gov. Rene Relampagos presided over the Sangguniang

Panlalawigan (SP) to approve a resolution that ushers a partnership between the Department of Health – Central Visayas Center for Health Development (DOH-CVCHD) and the Provincial Government of Bohol (PGBh).

The partnership allows PGBh to implement the health care components of its 2022 Annual Operation Plan (AOP), with the general target, which is to improve the local health system performance in Bohol.

This is aligned with the Universal Health Care Act and the Fourmula One Plus for Health program.

In order to forge the partnership, the SP passed a resolution that grants Gov. Arthur Yap the authority to represent the province and enter into an agreement with DOH-CVHD.

The resolution was passed on Tuesday, Jan. 25, 2022, during the regular session of the provincial legislature.

Dr. Cesar Tomas Lopez, the OIC of the Provincial Health Office (PHO), explained that fostering this partnership each year is part of the standard operating procedure. Through this partnership, PGBh will not only be able to execute its plans for the health sector but will also receive funding and other means of support from the DOH.

The vice governor expresses his support to this initiative as it is crucial to enhancing health care services, especially in the rural areas.

Relampagos pushes to make health care more accessible to all Boholanos.
