Vice Gov. Rene Relampagos
The Provincial Government of Bohol (PGBh) is addressing the need for legal assistance for the less fortunate Boholanos through the Heart of the Law (Kasingkasing sa Balaod) Legal Aid Outreach held in Rowena Heights, a community located in between barangay Anonang, Buenavista town and barangay Cabatuan, Danao town.
As this developed, Vice Gov. Rene Relampagos has thrown his support to the project of the PGBh in providing legal aid to less fortunate Boholanos.
The outreach was conducted during the relief operation Barug Bohol held in the said community back in January 2021.
Lawyer Julius Delgado, the Provincial Legal Officer, led the conduct of providing free legal services assisted by other lawyers at the Provincial Legal Office (PLO).
It can be recalled that during the height of the “repa scam” that hit Bohol last year, the PLO provided its free legal services to the victims of the scam.
Relampagos said this initiative will address the clamor for legal advice,
legal counseling and legal representation for the less fortunate Boholanos who cannot afford the services of private lawyers.
He is looking forward to more free legal services that will be conducted in the coming days for the entire province of Bohol.
