The members of the camp of presidential candidate Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. and vice presidential candidate Sara Duterte-Carpio in Bohol have started the local campaign of the two said candidates with a big bang.

In line with Marcos’ call for unity, all the organizations in Bohol backing the son of former President Ferdinand Marcos Sr., have joined together to form a single support group, which is known as 1 BOHOL BBM-SARA (Support Group).

The support groups of Marcos and Duterte-Carpio here in the province are set to inaugurate their provincial campaign headquarters located at the Liteport center, according to information relayed to The Bohol Tribune by 1 BOHOL BBM-SARA president Cylwin Bomediano.

The opening salvo of the 1 BOHOL BBM-SARA campaign features three groups of Marcos and Duterte -Carpio supporters coming from various points in the province and converging at the Liteport Center.

One group will originate from Ubay and pass by Alicia and Jagna towns then proceeds to Tagbilaran City.

The 2nd group will be coming from Bien Unido-Trinidad and travel via Loboc en route to Tagbilaran City.

The 3rd group will originate from Talibon taking the Loon town route then travel towards Tagbilaran City, Bomediano said.

Then, Bomediano revealed, the 1 BOHOL BBM-SARA forces from different parts of the province will attend the blesssing and inauguration of the group’s provincial headquarters at the Liteport Center.

The activity will be capped off by the oathtaking of the officers of the 1 BOHOL BBM-SARA group.

Bomediano said that 1 BOHOL BBM-SARA support group expects the presence of Partido Federal ng Pilipinas (PFP) secretary-general Thompson Lantion and other members of the board of directors of the political party of Marcos, during the blessing and inauguration of the provincial headquarters.

To solidify the forces backing Marcos and Duterte Carpio, these forces have united under a support group called 1 BOHOL BBM-SARA.

The support group is headed by its president Bomediano and its executive vice president Angie Vidas Hoffman.

The heads of the organizations affiliated with the 1 BOHOL BBM-SARA are the executive directors of the said support group, according to Bomediano in a text message to The Bohol Tribune.

The new organization was formed following a meeting on Feb. 10, 2022 at the Liteport Center in Tagbilaran City, Bomediano added.

In a Facebook post, 1 BOHOL BBM-SARA spokesman Reuben Pantanosas, said the new support group is composed of organizations which are dedicated in supporting the candidacy of Marcos and Duterte-Carpio.

Pantanosas emphasized that the support group ‘s primary objective is to campaign and help Marcos and Duterte-Carpio win the elections in Bohol.

“Ang maong grupo [1 BOHOL BBM-SARA] hugot nga mipadayag nga independent ug eksklusibo lamang ngadto sa national nga kalihukan ang pagka mugna niini ug ang tanan niining kalihukan alang lng sa kandidatura sa maong nahisgutang mga politiko- BBMSARA.”

Pantanosas said the group has decided to refrain from endorsing local politicians. Futhermore, the support group will not participate in the campaign of local candidates.

“Gi klaro usab sa maong panagtapok nga ang mga nagka daiyang myembro sa 1 BOHOL BBM-SARA dili mo endorsar ug dili mag apil apil sa kalihukang lokal nga pang pamulitika,” Pantanosas added.

All members of the support group, 1 BOHOL BBM-SARA, are free to support their own choice of local candidates.

“Pero gi klaro usab sa 1 BOHOL BBM-SARA nga ang tanang myembro nga organisasyon nga naglangkob sa pagkamugna sa 1 BOHOL BBM-SARA gawasnon nga ipadayon ang ilang kasamtamang kalihukan ug apelyisasyong lokal kung sila aduna may lokal nga pampamulitikang gisuportahan apan hugtanong gikasabutan nga dili dalhon ang hugpong nga 1 BOHOL BBM-SARA ,” Pantanosas explained.

Pantanosas enumerated the forces that united under the support group of the 1 BOHOL BBM-SARA and they are: BBMSARA National Team; Basta Bol-anon Marcos-Sara, headed by Bomediano; Bagong Bayan Marcos Supporters, which is chaired by Eriberto Gacera; United Bongbong Marcos Movement, headed by Jeconias Ursos Jr.; Bayang Bayanihan Magkaisang Samahan Inc. chaired by Cindy Milar; Marcos Pa Rin, a group which is represented by Jef Torralba; and Bagong Bansang Maharlika, an organization spearheaded by its chairman, Reneiluz Caldeo.

Other groups which are part of the 1 BOHOL BBM-SARA include Bongbong Marcos for President Movement chaired by Alma Fe Strickland; Luzviminda, which is headed by its chairman, Rey Dizon; Bohol United BBM/SARA Worldwide Group, led by James Ivan Vistal; Bohol BBM LGBTQ of Gerry Lugod; BBM Crescent Community of Ameroding Sacar; BBM Bohol Riders, which is headed by Art Evangelista; BBM Youth Bohol, chaired by Jesryl Abarquez; Friends of Imelda Romualdez Marcos, led by Ester Cruz; and Solid BBM LGBTQ, which is spearheaded by James Lico.

In a telephone interview, Bomediano clarified that the Uniteam of Marcos and Duterte-Carpio has not endorsed any candidate for governor in Bohol. As such the 1 Bohol BBMSARA shall focus only on the campaign on the Marcos and Duterte-Carpio here.
