BOHOL MEDICAL SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM GETS SIGNED

Gov. Arthur Yap (right) affixes his signature on the sheets containing the ordinance establishing the Bohol Medical Scholarship Program. Also shown in the photo is Vice Gov. Rene Relampagos (left). The ordinance establishes a scholarship program for young Boholanos who wish to pursue a Career in Medicine. The ordinance says, among others, that the Provincial Government of Bohol will spend for the cost of education of a scholar until he/she becomes a medical doctor. Then, the new doctor, as a form of repayment, shall serve for a certain number of years with pay, in any of the hospitals owned and operated by the province.  Photo courtesy of PRIMER.
