EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW

In an exclusive interview with The Bohol Tribune’s Ardy Araneta-Batoy and Gloria Leodivica Araneta at the sidelines of the event, HPI’s national sales manager Raymond Cristobal said the company sees a potential increase in motorcycle demand not just in Bohol, but also in key areas in the country.

“We would like to provide our Honda products to every Filipino family and customers. So we find Bohol as one of those areas with a very big potential to cater to the motorcycle public,” he said.

Cristobal bared that HPI has maintained its market leadership in the motorcycle industry by providing quality customer service, supplying quality spare parts, and producing reliable motorcycles.

Cristobal paid tribute to the role of Du Ek Sam in the growth HPI’s business in the country.

“Napakalaki po ng role ng Du Ek Sam. Ang Du Ek Sam po ang nag re-retail ng produkto ng Honda. Sya po ang nag po-provide sa customers ng Honda ng maganda at flexible financial terms at a very reasonable price,” Cristolabal told The Bohol Tribune.

Moreover, Cristobal revealed the reason HPI chose to partner with Du Ek Sam Inc. He said:

“Du Ek Sam, Inc being a pure Boholano company needs to open a complete Honda Shop equally competitive to Honda Shops in Metropolis areas. We continue to be biased to our hometown. Despite the market may still be lower yet we have to present the complete Honda brand to Boholanos,”

He also gave insights on the partnership of HPI and Du Ek Sam.

“Du Ek Sam, Inc and Honda have been partners for more than 30 years. Du Ek Sam, Inc. is the number 1 Honda dealer for Visayas and Mindanao and number 2 nationwide. With the current motorcycle model lineup of Honda, it continues to claim being the top motorcycle brand for the Philippine market. Our strong partnership continues as we further expand dealerships across the Philippine Islands. Currently we now have 68 operational 3S shops,” Cristobal quipped.

Cristobal also hinted why investing in a motorcycle makes a lot of sense considering the skyrocketing prices of gasoline and other petroleum products.

“Well, if you’ve been on the fence about whether to buy a motorcycle or not, all you have to do is to check the gas prices. Honda motorcycles have repeatedly been recognised as the best and most fuel-efficient in the market, and help you to go to more places for less [cost], especially during these trying times. Even a big bike like the Honda CBR650R is recognized as a fuel efficient ride at 20.9 km/L. That is just one of the ways we are sharing the joy of mobility,” he explained.
