BBM, Sara lead in Pres., VP race here

Presidential candidate Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. is the choice among Boholano voters based on the survey conducted by the Holy Name University (HNU) Center for Research and Publications called Bohol Poll 2022.

The poll results were released on Apr. 8, 2022 at the Barder Gymnasium inside the HNU campus.

According to the results, Marcos is the choice of 52% of Boholano voters who were asked by the HNU pollsters during the survey period from Feb. 28 to Mar. 21, 2022.

The first Bohol Poll this year had a sample size of 400 respondents coming from the three districts of Bohol.

Sen. Manny Pacquiao is the 2nd most preferred presidential candidate among Boholano voters with a rating of 18% while Vice President Leni Robredo had a rating of 17%.

Moreover, Manila mayor Isko Moreno got a rating of 8% and Sen. Panfilo Lacson with 4%.

On the other hand, in the vice presidential race, Davao City mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio garnered 72% voters’ preference rating.  Senate President Vicente “Tito” Sotto obtained 14%.

Other vice

presidential candidates that were considered in the survey were Sen. Francis Pangilinan (9%) and Dr. Willie Ong (3%).

The results of the Bohol Poll mirrors the results of other surveys in the country which showed Marcos Jr. and Duterte-Carpio as the frontrunners.

However, unlike in the Bohol Poll, Robredo is the distant second placer in the survey conducted by national survey firms such as Pulse Asia and Social Weather Stations.
