Gov. Arthur Yap in his Facebook page announced tnat he just got the endorsement of the religious sect Iglesia ni Cristo (INC), for his candidacy as Bohol Governor on May 2, 2022.
“Daghang salamat sa atong kaigsuonan sa Iglesia Ni Cristo sa inyong pag endorso kanako sa pagpasubli isip Gobernador sa Lalawigan sa Bohol,” he said in a post.
He then switched to Filipino when he said:”Taos-pusong pasalamat sa kapatiran ng Iglesia ni Cristo sa patuloy na pagtitiwala at suporta.”
He added: “Ang katatagan ng pagkaka-isa ng INC ay mananatiling inspirasyon sa pagpapatuloy ng tapat na paglilingkod sa ating mga kababayan.”
The governor ended: “Muli, maraming, maraming salamat po at pagpalain nawa tayong lahat ng Panginoon.”
The INC is known to vote for a single candidate based on the endorsement of its leadership known as bloc voting.
Yap is running for election together with Vice Gov. Rene Relampagos and are up against the bid of 2nd district Cong. Aris Aumentado and Board Member Dionisio Victor Balite for governor and vice governor respectively.
