The chief of the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDRRMO) Anthony Damalerio replies to an allegation posted on a Facebook page identified with Gov.-elect Erico Aristotle Aumentado alleging that an overpriced 10 kilovolt ampere (kVA) generator set was acquired by the said agency of the provincial government.

A post appearing on the “Aris Aumentado” Facebook page insinuated that the PDRRMO overpriced the generator set for TaRSIER 117.

“Grabeha sad ani Tarsier 117 mipalit ug 10kVA Generator Set mi kabat ug 1.8M apan ang 50kVA mo baler ra ug 400k. Pag tarong mo diha ha!” the post that appeared on social media on May 15, 2022 said.

Tarsier 117 is the operations arm of the PDRRMO.

The Bohol Tribune reached out to Damalerio for his comments and said that he already provided his statement in the comment section of the said post.

He also said he already reached out to the governor-elect to clarify matters regarding the allegation raised in the Facebook post, in the name of fairness and transparency.

Moreover, Damalerio stated that the PDRRMO did not acquire any 10KVA generator set as alleged in the post.

“Let me [Damalerio] reply to this post, there is NO 10KVA genset at the TaRSIER 117 Headquarters, also there was NO PROCUREMENT for any genset for the PDRRMO and TaRSIER 117 offices during the term of Gov. Yap. I have informed Gov-elect Aris of my intention to reply in the name of fairness and transparency,” Damalerio said in his reply.

“All procurement papers in my office have been readied for the upcoming transition committee meetings. In fact, I have communicated to the incoming Governor that my office be called first by the committee. Let us disregard disinformation and fake news without verifying actual data supported by documents,” he added.

Damalerio concluded: “Let me assure everyone that PDRRMO fully supports anti-corruption in government.”
