The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) informed Gov. Arthur Yap that phases 1 and 2 of the Tagbilaran-Offshore Connector Bridge or the 3rd structure  connecting Panglao Island with the mainland, are nearing completion.
In a report, the governor said that he and Cong. Edgar Chatto were briefed by the DPWH Region 7 team headed by Engr. Sharleen Apolinar and DPWH 1st Engineering District chief Godofredo Laga Jr. regarding the status of the 3rd bridge project.
The governor also bared that during the briefing he was told that phase 1 of the bridge project is now 90% complete which involves the approach at the Dauis side of the structure.
Moreover, the approach on the Tagbilaran side, which is phase 2, is already 86% complete. Phase 3 of the construction is ongoing, the reports add.
