Gov. Arthur Yap is set to deliver his final State of the Province Address (SOPA) on June 28, 2022 or two days before he would go back to private life.

He will be addressing a special session of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan (SP) on the said date to be held at the Ceremonial Hall of the New Capitol Complex, according to Board Member Ricky Masamayor.

It is expected that the governor will present the present status of the province that has been able to overcome the challenges of the pandemic and typhoon Odette.

Meanwhile, Vice Gov. Rene Relampagos delivered his farewell speech during the regular session of the SP on June 21, 2022. (see related story on page 1)

Relampagos highlighted in his speech the landmark legislative measures including the ordinance providing maintenance medicines and health care services to senior citizens.

Aside from Relampagos, Board Members Jade Bautista and Romulo Cepedoza also delivered their respective farewell speeches.

Bautista did not seek re-election as 3rd District Board Member and opted to run as mayor of Garcia Hernandez town and lost to Jess Baja.

On the other hand, Cepedoza will remain in his position until there will be an election among the members of the Liga ng mga Barangay. Cepedoza is the Bohol chapter president of the Liga ng mga Barangay.
