Cong. Edgar Chatto took his oath of office for his 2nd term as First District Representative before Executive Judge Leo Lison on Thursday, June 30 at the Bohol Cultural Center. 

His family, Balilihan mayor Pureza Veloso-Chatto, daughter Balilihan vice mayoe Esther Patrisha Chatto and a very close family friend, Atty. John Paulo Ronquillo stood as witnesses. 

Chatto joined the rest of the provincial officials in the Inaugural ceremonies: Gov. Erico Aristotle Aumentado, Vice Gov. Dionisio Victor Balite, fellow representatives Congresswomen Maria Vanessa Aumentado of the 2nd district and Kristine Alexi Tutor of the 3rd district.

Board members were also sworn in and they are Board Members Venzencio Arcamo, Aldner Damalerio, and Lucille Lagunay of the first district; Board Members Tomas Abapo, Jiselle Rae Villamor and Vierna Mae Maglasang of the second district; as well as Board Members Tita Baja, Nathaniel Binlod, Greg Crispinito Jala and Elpidio Bonita of the third district. 

Chatto assured the people of his commitment to working with national and local government officials towards economic recovery and higher levels of growth and development for Bohol and the country. 

In post-election activities, Chatto called on elected officials to work as one for Bohol and the country and likewise urged the people to support the development agenda of leaders. 

In a social media post, Chatto expressed gratitude for the constant support and continued trust and confidence given him by the Boholanos in the first district as he opens another chapter in his governance journey. 

He vowed to deliver genuine service and love for Boholanos especially in the first district. 

In his second term in Congress, Chatto continues to exercise oversight functions such as in the implementation of the Cortes Campus project of the Gov. Celestino Gallares Multi-Specialty Medical Complex. 

He is also closely working with the Bohol Island State University to open the College of Medicine. 

Chatto has sought the support of the Provincial Government in legislative measures he is pushing in the 19th Congress such as the establishment of the Tubigon-Calape-Loon-Maribojoc economic zone and the nationalization of the Corella-Balilihan road.
