“Beast” at Screenville Cinemas

It’s man vs. a bloodthirsty lion in the pulse-pounding survival thriller, “Beast”, now showing at Screenville Cinemas of Island City Mall and Alturas Mall.

A recently widowed husband, Dr. Nate (Idris Elba – “Fast & Furious: Hobbs & Shaw”), travels with his two teenage daughters to South Africa to visit the place where he first met his wife who just passed away. It is a memorable journey for the children as they meet the childhood friend of their mother who is a wildlife biologist working in the natural park.

While on an excursion, they discover a small site where all the aborigines have been killed and dismembered by the beast. Now, they are chased by a rogue lion, and their vacation turns into a worst nightmare. Everybody fights for survival as they find themselves hunted by the savage lion.

Leading the cast is Idris Elba, an award-winning British actor who is the favorite candidate to be the next James Bond to replace Daniel Craig. He has been nominated four times for a Golden Globe Award for Best Actor, winning one; and was nominated five times for a Primetime Emmy Award.

“BEAST” is now showing at Screenville Cinemas of Island City Mall and Alturas Mall.
