A 78-year-old female senior citizen died following a road accident while her companion sustained injuries, reports say.
The incident happened on the evening of Oct. 19, 2022 in Corella town, reports add.
The fatality was identified as a certain Erma Malanog of barangay Sambog, Corella.
Her companion was identified as Fredezmin da Tejero, 68, of barangay Anislag, Corella.
Police say that the two persons were allegedly crossing the road when a motorcycle driven by Eduardo Fernandez, of barangay Canimaya, Sagbayan town collided with the victims.
Malanog was brought to a nearby hospital but was declared dead on arrival while da Tejero is currently being given medical attention in a hospital.
Moreover, the motorcycle driver sustained minor injuries as a result of the accident as police are still probing the incident. (Joshua Fullido)
