BPPO records 6.63% decline in total crimes in 2022

There is a 6.63% decrease in total crime incidents in Bohol according to Lt. Col. Norman Nuez of Camp Francisco Dagohoy, headquarters of the Bohol Provincial Police Office (BPPO).

Nuez, who is the police administrative officer of BPPO, revealed that from January 1 to October 25, 2022, Bohol police recorded a total of 4,564 crimes.

This is 324 crimes less compared to last year, he pointed out.

In 2021, Camp Dagohoy recorded a total of 4,888 crimes.

The total of crimes in violation of the country’s Revised Penal Code is about 2,834 incidents in 2021, as against the 2,105 incidents recorded in 2022, according to Nuez.
