All That You Need to Know About Zirconia Dental Implants (Part 1)

Allow me to discuss a new topic this week and it is all about zirconia dental implants.

Dental implants are artificial tooth roots that connect the false tooth crown or bridge to the jaw in order to better simulate natural teeth.

Dental implants are metal posts that are surgically placed into the jawbone right beneath the patient’s gums.

The dentist usually cuts into the gums and drills through the bone in order to screw the post before the gums are stitched up and allowed to heal.

Once everything is fully healed, the dentist will screw in the crown or bridge plus abutment.

Once the implants have been put into place, the implants’ are now in the crown to get mounted to replace the missing tooth.

Unlike normal false teeth, the dental implant is more permanent and stable. It allows your crown to work and appear like a normal natural tooth by using the implant as its tooth root anchor.

Next week we will continue our discussions on dental implants especially those that are made from zircomia.
