“Sige man ug ulan ulan mao [nga] mahamper ang balhin sa mga gamit,” she said.

When asked if the fire victims are willing to leave the evacuation site, the mayor said yes.

“They have been willing to transfer. In fact nagsige na ug hakot ron ug gitabangan nato,” she added.

The mayor said that the fire victims will still build shelters at the identified relocation site . “On going ang ilang pagtukod,” she quipped.

“Sila ang gatukod [sa shelter] ug gitabangan gihapon nato,” the mayor stated.

This fire victims have chosen an area in barangay Dampas for their relocation site, according to Poblacion 2 barangay captain Dr. Allan Real.

Real, in a telephone interview said that the fire victims were given a choice between a site in Cabawan and a site in Dampas near the Divine Mercy shrine.

Real said that due to a miscommunication, the fire victims cleared initially the wrong lot. The fire victims eventually got directed to the right site.

RESULTS OF THE INVESTIGATION
