Municipal Workers in Bohol Undergo Vaccination

The Office of the Provincial Veterinarian (OPV) and the Provincial Health Office (PHO) have resumed their anti-rabies vaccination drive for municipal workers in Bohol.

This is a continuation of last year’s vaccination program that took place in November 2022.

On May 15, 2023, 38 municipal personnel received their first dose of Verorab vaccines at the New Capitol Building Lobby in Tagbilaran City.

These personnel included dogcatchers, livestock agriculturists, artificial insemination technicians, and members of the Bohol Association of Livestock Aides (BALA).

This activity is part of the Provincial Government of Bohol’s efforts to combat rabies following reports of increased animal bite incidents last year.

The participants will return on May 22, 2023, for their second dose of the vaccine.
