Ma. Claudia Talatayod, a 25-year-old environmental advocate from Bohol, was crowned Miss Earth Philippines 2023 on Saturday, July 9, 2023, at the Okada Manila in Parañaque City.

Talatayod, who is a graduate of the University of the Philippines-Visayas, bested 39 other contestants from all over the country. She is the second Bohol native to win the Miss Earth Philippines title, following Karen Ibasco in 2017.

Talatayod’s advocacy is to promote environmental awareness and sustainable living. She is also a certified scuba diver and a volunteer for several environmental organizations.

As Miss Earth Philippines, Talatayod will represent the Philippines in the Miss Earth International pageant, which will be held in the Philippines on July 21, 2023.
