Town News-JAGNA

Jagna mayor Joseph Rañola (inset, upper left corner) reported on July 11, 2023 that the Bohol
Economic Development and Investment Promotion Office (BEDIPO) in the Province of Bohol, led by
Market Specialist Ligaya Astronomo-Castillo, visited Jagna on June 7, 2023 for a Micro, Small, and
Medium-sized Enterprises (MSME) exposure. The visit aimed to align BEDIPO’s goals with the
present administration’s 2024 Strategic Roadmap. The group was cordially welcomed by Vice Mayor
Teofisto Pagar Jr. and Tourism Investment and Promotion Office Designate Ma. Lovella Acebes, on
behalf of Mayor Joseph Rañola. They showcased Jagna’s own Tourism and Micro-Enterprise
promotional videos. Jagna also proudly presented to the group the latest tourism attraction video on
paragliding and the Solid Waste Management program of the LGU. Meanwhile, JaSMED Unit In-
charge Timoteo Escolano Jr. assisted the group in visiting Tubod Mar Dive Spot (MV Jeffrey Ship
Wreck), Ching’s Calamay facility, Lenny’s Chicharon facility, and the Mayana Upper Sampong
Farmers Association (MUSFA) Strawberry Farm, which is about to be showcased in the investment
promotional video of the province. BEDIPO intends to conduct trainings for our MSMEs this 3rd
Quarter of 2023. It’s a great source of pride for all Jagnaanons that under the administration of Mayor
Joseph Rañola, Jagna has become a role model for tourism in the whole province of Bohol.
