Royal Air Philippines, a Philippine-based airline,
announced today that it will start flights from Kunming City,
China to Bohol-Panglao International Airport (BPIA) on
July 25, 2023.
The airline will operate two flights per week, on Tuesdays
and Saturdays. The flight will depart from Kunming at
10:00 AM and arrive in Bohol at 1:00 PM. The return flight
will depart from Bohol at 2:00 PM and arrive in Kunming at
5:00 PM.
Royal Air Philippines is a relatively new airline, having
started commercial operations in 2018. The airline
currently operates a fleet of two Airbus A320-200 aircraft

and provides domestic and international non-scheduled
airline and cargo services.
The addition of the Kunming-Bohol route is a significant
expansion for Royal Air Philippines. The airline has been
growing rapidly in recent years and the new route is a sign
of its commitment to expanding its network, the Royal Air
management said in a statement.
The new route will be welcomed by tourists and
businesses alike, the statement said.
Royal Air said Bohol is a popular tourist destination in the
Philippines, known for its white-sand beaches, clear
waters, and lush rainforests.
The province is also home to the Chocolate Hills, a unique
geological formation that is a must-see for any visitor to
the Philippines, according to Royal Air.
The new route will also be beneficial for businesses in
Bohol, said Bohol First District Congressman Edgar M.
Chatto.
The province is home to a number of manufacturing and
export-oriented industries, and the new flight will make it
easier for businesses to import and export goods, Chatto
said.
The addition of the Kunming-Bohol route is a positive
development for the Philippines, Chatto said. The new
route will boost tourism and trade, and it will help to
connect the Philippines to more destinations in Asia, he
noted.
