Loon Mayor Elvi Peter L. Relampagos (inset, upper left corner) announces that two homegrown
Loonanon beauty queens were recently crowned in two separate prestigious beauty pageants in the
international and local stage. The first is Ms. Claudia S. Talatayod of Catagbacan Handig, Loon,
Bohol (left) who was crowned as Ms. Earth International 2023 in Okada, Manila on July 20, 2023. She
bested the representatives from different countries of the world. Ms. Talatayod garnered eight other
awards, namely: Darling of the Press, Best in Swimwear, Ms. Photogenic, Best in Intro Video, Best in
National Costume, Best in Interview, Face of the Night and Miss JCO. She will also be honored as
one of the Outstanding Men and Women in the Philippines in August this year at the Music Museum
at Green Hills, San Juan, Metro Manila. Picture at right is Norvin King Sweigart, a resident of
Canhangdon Occidental, Loon, Bohol crowned as Queen of Bohol 2023 at the Bohol Cultural Center
on July 24, 2023, one of the highlights in the Bohol Sandugo Celebration 2023. Sweigart romped
away seven other awards: Face of Queen of Bohol, Darling of the Press, Best in Advocacy, Best in
Interview, Miss Ocean Suites, Queen of Vertulfo Dental Clinic and Miss Jen & Dee Decors Stylist
