Tagbilaran City enhances public services through Query Systems and Feedback Mechanisms Workshop

In its relentless pursuit of improving public services and engagement, the City Government of Tagbilaran with the support of USAID Cities for Enhanced Governance and Engagement (CHANGE) Project conducted a review workshop on query and feedback mechanisms on August 29-30, 2023, at the MetroCentre Hotel.

Facilitated by Dr. Rosalinda Paredes, USAID CHANGE City Governance Coordinator, this initiative seeks to promote transparency, accountability, and responsiveness in local governance.

The workshop aimed to further refine and streamline the city’s query systems and feedback mechanisms.

It brought together key stakeholders, including government officials, representatives from various departments, and civil society organization representatives, to discuss and evaluate existing processes.

Tagbilaran City Mayor Jane Yap expressed her enthusiasm for the workshop, stating, “We value the feedback and queries from our constituents. This workshop reflects our dedication to continuously enhance our public services and ensure that the concerns of our citizens are addressed promptly and effectively.”

By harnessing technology and building on citizen feedback mechanisms already instituted by the City Government of Tagbilaran, such as drop boxes, walk-ins, phone calls, emails, and social media platforms, the city is committed to providing its residents with more accessible and responsive public services.

These channels facilitate feedback and queries from the public and disseminate information on local government plans, projects, and activities.

With the knowledge gained from this workshop, Tagbilaran City is poised to further elevate its standards in governance, making sure that residents have a voice and access to quality services.
