The Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) is a poverty reduction program of the Philippine
government that provides financial assistance through the Department of Social Welfare and
Development (DSWD) to identified poor families. In this connection, Tubigon Mayor William R. Jao (in

commitment of 645 new Tubignon 4Ps beneficiaries at the Tubigon Cultural Center to ensure the
proper use of the allocated funds and the beneficiaries’ corresponding responsibilities. The
ceremonial oath of commitment signifies the solemn pledge of the new beneficiaries to comply with
the program’s conditions and requirements. The beneficiaries swore to uphold a set of responsibilities,
including sending their children to school, regularly visiting health centers, attending family
development sessions, and following ethical standards. Through this oath, the 4Ps program
emphasizes the importance of accountability, cooperation, and transparency between the
beneficiaries and the government. The conduct of the oath-taking ceremony sends a clear message
that the Philippines is committed to reducing poverty and promoting equality and opportunity for all
Filipinos. Also present during the event were Tubigon Vice Mayor Rene Villaber, Municipal Social
Welfare Development Officer (MSWDO) Rey Envidiado, Cluster Supervisor Ma. Charo Poligrates,
Civil Society Organization (CSO) Rep. Pastor Garry Templado, and representatives from the Bureau
of Fire Protection (BFP) and Philippine National Police (PNP). Contributed photo
