NOW SHOWING
“The Nun 2” at
Screenville Cinemas

A sequel to the 2018 hit gothic horror thriller, “The Nun”, and the ninth
installment in the terrifying “Conjuring” universe, “The Nun 2” is now
showing at Screenville Cinemas of Island City Mall and Alturas Mall.
The chilling tale picks up four years after the spine-tingling events of
the first film, when Sister Irene (Taissa Farmiga) returns to confront her
worst nightmare, facing again the malevolent entity Valak (Bonnie Aarons),
a demon nun, this time in France where a priest has recently been
murdered.
This sinister force returns to haunt the innocent, and Sister Irene must
summon every ounce of her courage to face the darkness. It was known that
the nun had apparently been buried alive in the church walls as punishment
for having an affair with a monk, so she was seeking vengeance.
The Conjuring Universe has grossed $2 billion, and it’s the most
successful cinematic universe that doesn’t involve superheroes. Surprisingly,
the highest grossing chapter in the James Wan and Peter Safran-produced
horror franchise is “The Nun” earning $366 million in the box office.

COMING SOON
“The Equalizer 3” at
Screenville Cinemas

Two-time Academy Award winner Denzel Washington is back reprising
his iconic role as a vigilante to take on the dreaded Sicilian mafia in the third
and final installment of the trilogy, “The Equalizer 3”, which will premiere
worldwide on Wednesday, September 13, at Screenville Cinemas of Island
City Mall and Alturas Mall.
After dealing out his own brand of justice in the first
two “Equalizer” movies, retired US marine and former CIA agent Robert
McCall (Washington) is looking for a peaceful life to live. Since giving up his
profession as a government assassin, McCall has struggled to reconcile the
horrific things he’s done in the past and finds a strange solace in serving
justice on behalf of the oppressed.
When he moves to Italy to escape from his past, he later discovers
that his new friends are under the control of the local crime bosses of the
notorious Sicilian mafia. As events turn deadly, McCall knows what he has to
do — unleashes his past self to protect his new friends. Together with a low-
level CIA agent Emma Collins (Dakota Fanning-“War of the Worlds”), he
goes out all guns blazing by taking on the mafia.
