Bohol Limestone Corporation (BLC), a leading producer of limestone and related products in the Philippines, has been recommended for Certificate Maintenance to ISO 14001:2015, the international standard for environmental management systems.

The recommendation was issued by TÜV NORD Philippines, Inc., an accredited certification body, after conducting a Surveillance Audit on December 09, 2023.

The audit verified that BLC has maintained and improved its environmental performance in accordance with the requirements of ISO 14001:2015.

ISO 14001:2015 is a globally recognized standard that provides a framework for organizations to manage their environmental aspects and impacts, such as energy consumption, waste generation, emissions, and resource use.

It also helps organizations to comply with environmental laws and regulations, and to enhance their reputation and competitiveness.

BLC, which operates a limestone quarry and processing plant in Garcia Hernandez, Bohol, has been certified to ISO 14001:2015 since 2019. The company has implemented various environmental initiatives, such as water conservation, waste reduction, biodiversity protection, and community engagement.

BLC produces high-quality limestone products for various industries, such as cement, steel, glass, agriculture, and construction. BLC also exports its products to Japan, China, Korea, and other countries in Asia.
