Board Member Aldner Damalerio

Provincial capitol employees including job and contractual personnel will receive
service recognition incentives this Christmas.
This was revealed by Board Member Aldner Damalerio during an interview in the
Newsmakers program at station DYTR hosted by The Bohol Tribune’s Managing
Editor Ardy Araneta-Batoy on December 20.
Damalerio said that the resolution he sponsored was approved by the Sanggunian
during its last session for the year 2023.
The service recognition incentive will be given not only to the regular capitol
employees but also to the job order and contractual personnel.
The grant of service incentives was treated as an urgent matter and targeted to be
released on or before the last banking day before Christmas, hence, BM
Damalerio moved for the suspension of the three-reading rule and immediately
proceeded to the first, second, and third readings during the same session.
Meanwhile, Damalerio told “Newsmakers” program that he requested another
round of Passport on Wheels from the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) which
will hopefully be conducted in the third quarter of next year.
When asked about the practice of some government personnel who bring their
children to school using government vehicles because the school is situated along
the vehicle’s route, Damalerio advised that it is better for these government
personnel to avoid the practice since government vehicles are for official functions
only, and besides, they are also using resources from people’s money.

Damalerio likewise reported that certain provisions have been added in related
ordinances to prohibit the burning of garbage under electrical wires because this
can cause the wires’ insulation material to melt resulting in wire breakage.
Another important issue tackled during the SP session was the requirement for
technicians who will do the installation to wear uniforms since Damalerio noticed
that some technicians wear slippers and have no uniforms making them difficult to
identify. Besides, the practice is for their own safety.
