In an effort to protect tourists from fraudulent activities, the Bohol Provincial Tourism Office has issued a public advisory urging visitors to only transact with accredited travel and tour operators.

This announcement comes amidst a growing concern over unverified individuals offering tour services online.

The tourism office, situated in the historic Escuela de Niñas Building beside the National Museum in Tagbilaran City, emphasizes the necessity for tourists to verify the accreditation of tour operators.

The presence of the Department of Tourism’s safety seal is a key indicator of a legitimate and safe service provider, BTO said.

Officials from the tourism office have expressed their commitment to ensuring that visitors’ experiences in Bohol are not only memorable but also secure.

They advise all travelers to be vigilant and to seek confirmation of accreditation before engaging in any tour-related transactions.

For further information or assistance, the Bohol Provincial Tourism Office can be contacted via their official emails JF@boholtourism.ph and tourismoffice@bohol.gov.ph, or through their website at www.tourism.bohol.gov.ph. An alternative email, tourismofficebohol@gmail.com, is also available for inquiries.

The office extends its best wishes to all tourists for a safe and hassle-free journey, reinforcing the province’s dedication to maintaining a high standard of tourist safety.
