The City Government of Tagbilaran, under the leadership of Mayor Jane Yap, continued its commitment to supporting education by distributing school uniforms to students of Cogon Elementary School and Tagbilaran City Central Elementary School on April 1, 2024.

Mayor Yap also reaffirmed the city government’s prioritization of education and its ongoing efforts to support students and families in Tagbilaran City.

“We are committed to ensuring that every student in Tagbilaran City has the opportunity to thrive academically. By distributing school uniforms to students, we aim to alleviate the financial burden on families and promote inclusivity in our schools. Education is a key priority for our city, and we will continue to work closely with the Department of Education to support our students’ success,” said Mayor Yap.

This distribution of uniforms was organized in collaboration with the Department of Education (DepEd) led by Dr. Wilfreda Bongalos, Schools Division Superintendent of the City Schools Division of Tagbilaran City, along with school principals, teachers and DepEd personnel.

It is worth noting that similar uniform distributions have been conducted in the past for other public elementary schools in Tagbilaran City, demonstrating the city government’s continuous commitment to ensuring that all students have access to the resources they need to thrive in their academic endeavors.
