The honor awards program Pasidungog sa Pagdumala 2024 has sparked inspiration among youth leaders and youth organizations across the first district.

Launched last year by the office of Cong. Edgar Chatto in partnership with the Philippine Center of Young Leaders in Governance (PCYLG) and the Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) Provincial Federation, the program honors young leaders and organizations within the first district of Bohol that demonstrate leadership, innovative practices and significant community impact in order to inspire the young generation to become actively involved in the community.

This is in recognition of the transformative power of exemplary leadership, innovative practices and significant community impact.

The Nightingale’s Resolute Stewards of the University of Bohol expressed gratitude for the inspiring event.

“Congressman Chatto’s wisdom will forever be a beacon as we grow into compassionate and connected leaders,” the UB College of Nursing Campus Student Organization wrote on their social media page.

“The event was more than just a gathering—it was a transformative experience that empowered the next generation of leaders,” Mater Dei College’s The Exemplar posted about the cascading activity they participated in.

The school’s official student publication cited Chatto’s emphasis on the vital role of young leaders in shaping the future and encouragement to lead with dedication, responsibility, and a steadfast commitment to ethical governance.

Several cascading events have been held across municipalities and higher education institutions across the first district to introduce the program.

Chatto earlier met with student leaders of the Bohol Island State University (BISU) and Holy Name University (HNU), delivering the message of transformative leadership among the youth.  He was joined by university presidents Dr. Anthony Penaso of BISU and Rev. Fr. Ruel Lero of HNU.
