The statement is: “I have just received this message: ‘Ma’am, unsa man gyud ang TINOOD – mihinay ang tourism sa Bohol or mahal ang presyo sa mga isda?’ Sa inyong tan-aw, unsay tubag?”

The responses, comments and reactions posted by the netizens were:

∙         from Gerard Mark Buma-at: It should be a concerted effort of all stakeholders – policymakers, consumers, traders, and business owners or investors. The focus should be all about sustainability. But the concerned government agencies who are the policymakers should take the lead. They must look at what will be the long-term impact.

∙         from Dominic Veloso to Gerard Mark Buma-at: Naa napud ka diri Piong ha? Wala napud ka sa national? Ha ha ha

∙         from Gerard Mark Buma-at to Dominic Veloso POV. Kani magkatigols na ta we should be involved in nation building. Looy ang kaugmaon sa next gen ato ikabilin.

∙         from Judge Jennifer Chavez-Marcos: All of the above mam.

∙         from Ardy Ines Araneta Batoy to Judge Jennifer Chavez-Marcos: Hahahaha. Good afternoon, Judge!

∙         From Judge Jennifer Chavez-Marcos to Ardy Ines Araneta Batoy: Good afternoon mam! Blessed Sunday to you and your family!

∙         from Angelo Balili: Item 6, close advisers are…

∙         from Ronald Gementiza Cagande: Mihinay kay nimahal.

∙         from Joseph Castillo: Both. Self-inflicted ni, reasons:

1.Responsibility taken for granted

2.Personal interests ang priority over service (corruption, staying in power)

3.Disorganized

4.Lacks concrete plan

5.No vision towards improvement

6.Only listens to a few crooked individuals

∙         from Dong Cris: All of the above Mam Ardz!

∙         from Erwin Baquial: For me part ra na sa rason, prob sa ato is we concentrate on East Asian tourists, neglecting westerners & Americans. You know those people do not like Koreans & Chinese in their midst. East Asians are seasonal tourists also, big volume though but less spenders than Americans & Europeans who also tend to stay longer than the former. Mahal2 jud pud deres Bohol and to think dili kay kita ray dunay beautiful beaches & other things to offer. “Get rich quick” pud mentality sa ubang players murag wa nay ugma. Pangurakot ray huna2 sa mga leaders nato.

∙         from Prex Tumabang to Erwin Baquial: Mahal jud tinood sa Bohol.

∙         from Rhine Pamaong: I went to Indonesia, Thailand and Vietnam just this year and they were all relatively cheaper in terms of hotel, food and tourist attractions. So why will tourists go to a more expensive place?

∙         from Ardy Ines Araneta Batoy to Rhine Pamaong: Exactly.

∙         from Nikko Geñoso Boldadora: Sa Kahinay mura og Snail.

∙         from Alma Bunachita Penales: Tinuod gyod mahal kaau ang preto sa isda looy tawn mga pobre di mopalit kulang pajd sa timbang nus a pd ni cla maka amgo sa ilang pagkalimbongan.

∙         from Ammie P. Valdez: Mahal ang Bohol compared to other provinces.

∙         from Lēsous Judith Bacang: Hinay ang tourism plus mahal pamaliton.
