Bohol Water Utilities, Inc. (BWUI) announced on Jan. 14, 2026, that new water lines are nearly ready for use.
Victor Tambis mentioned over Open Forum problem that consumers in barangay Dao, particularly Darunday street, are now able to apply for connections to BWUI.
The water company has been working to expand its reach to areas previously unserved.
He said that the lines laid at Darunday street are nearly finished, and people can now file their applications to facilitate connections.
The new line starts at Dao Health Center and traverses Lindavilla Phase 1 entrance and then to Dominic Drive in barangay Tiptip.
Meanwhile, the “connect now, pay later” program has been extended.
This means that those who wish to get BWUI connections can pay the installation fee in installments.
This means there is no upfront payment for the installation fee when the consumer makes the initial installation.
The installment payment will be charged to the bill, Tambis said.
He said the promo is extended until the end of January.
Tambis said the documents needed for application include: proof of ownership, vicinity map, building permit or certificate of residency from the barangay, and any valid ID of the applicant.
Once the application is approved, connection will happen within 24 hours.
Other lines are laid at Zamora St. and Toledo St. in barangay Dao.
BWUI will inform the public if consumers can already apply for connections in these areas.
