San Miguel, Bohol is marking its 65th Foundation Anniversary, and Mayor Ian Gil Garcia Mendez is highlighting the efforts of those driving the town’s growth. In a Facebook post, Mayor Mendez (5th from left) expressed gratitude to the Sangguniang Bayan members, LGU workforce, community partners, organizations, and the San Miguelnon community for their dedication. The town has seen progress in various areas, including improved infrastructure, healthcare, and education. New schools have opened in Corazon, Bayongan, Hagbuyo, and Kagawasan, with more on the way. The upcoming Colegio Municipal de San Miguel will provide local access to higher education, creating opportunities for the youth. “Sixty-five years of progress and beyond—let us remain united and tireless, building a brighter future for the next generation,” Mayor Mendez said.
