UB President Tirol Honors Pharmacy Alumni for Upholding a Legacy of Excellence and Service

“What truly defines the legacy of University of Bohol Pharmacy graduates is not merely their professional accomplishments, impressive credentials, or career milestones. Rather, it is the enduring values they have faithfully embodied throughout their lives and careers—the very ideals upon which our Alma Mater has built its foundation: Scholarship, Character, and Service.”

This was the message underscored by University of Bohol President Dr. Victoriano B. Tirol III as he addressed alumni virtually during the 1st Grand Alumni Homecoming of the University of Bohol College of Pharmacy, held on June 13, 2026, at the UB Gymnasium in Tagbilaran City.

Speaking before graduates from various generations, President Tirol paid tribute to the pioneers who laid the foundation of the College of Pharmacy and to the succeeding generations of alumni who have strengthened and expanded its legacy through their achievements, professionalism, and commitment to service.

Tirol emphasized that the success and reputation of the College of Pharmacy have been built upon the collective contributions of its graduates, whose dedication to their profession continues to bring honor and distinction to the University of Bohol. He noted that the evolving healthcare landscape has made the role of pharmacists more critical than ever, extending far beyond the dispensing of medicines to encompass patient care, education, research, advocacy, collaboration, and leadership in healthcare delivery.

President Tirol further recognized the alumni as living testimonies to the quality education and values formation provided by the University of Bohol. Through their accomplishments and service, he said, they continue to inspire both students and faculty while exemplifying the highest standards of the pharmacy profession.

Reflecting on the significance of the homecoming, he stressed that while times may change and new generations emerge, the values that unite UB Pharmacy graduates remain steadfast and enduring. “Scholarship, Character, and Service continue to define who we are, what we uphold, and what we stand for as proud graduates of the University of Bohol,” Tirol said.

The University President concluded by expressing confidence that these core values will continue to guide alumni toward greater excellence, leadership, and meaningful service to society, ensuring that the legacy of the University of Bohol College of Pharmacy remains strong for generations to come.
