DENTAL MISSION ACCOMPLISHED
The Alay Marcela Foundation of the Alturas Group of Companies; together with Marcela Farms, Inc. and Kompas Resorts & Hotels, Inc., in partnership with the Philippine Dental Association (PDA)-Bohol Chapter; conducted a Free Dental Clinic in Brgy. Catagbacan, Loon, last Thursday, July 30. Foreign dentists from Denmark lead by Dr. Liem-Oei Tandertsenpraktijk Volunteer Group of Indonesia and local dentists from PDA-Bohol took part in the said dental mission where most of the patients availed themselves of free tooth extraction and other dental check-up. “Spider-Man: Brand New Day” at Screenville
The fourth installment in the “Spider-Man” film series about the web-slinging hero who anonimously protects New York City as he faces a powerful entity while his superpowers undergo a potentially dangerous evolution in Marvel Comic’s “Spider-Man: Brand New Day,” now showing at Screenville Cinemas of Island City Mall and Alturas Mall.
The 38th film in Marvel Cinematic Universe, “Spider-Man: Brand New Day” takes place 4 years after the events of “No Way Home” in 2021, where at the end of the film Doctor Strange casts a spell that everybody can no longer remember the existence of Spider-Man in order to save the world.
So, Peter Parker is no more, and he longer exists. The world has forgotten his name. He is living entirely alone, and isolated from his circle of friends, especialy his loved one, Michelle “MJ” Jones-Watson.
As a Spider-Man (Tom Holland), he now works full-time as the protector of New York City keeping the city safe from any harm. In fact, crime rates significantly dropped in the city. He simply swings his way around the city catching thugs and saving innocent victims. The city really loves Spider-Man.
Things are going well for the friendly neighborhood hero until an unusual trail of crimes pulls him into a web of mystery larger than he’s ever faced before.
As new threats emerged, his body is changing by some kind of hormonal shift brought on by extreme stress. Is it some further mutation of his radioactive arachnid DNA? Will it affect his superpowers to confront such a powerful, unseen villain which has the power to control minds?
