This edition of VOX POPULI is featuring the netizens’ reactions, responses and comments to a statement posted on the FB wall of the Managing Editor of The Bohol Tribune.
The question is: “Survey sa pulso sa nasud: Padayon ang hisgut kabahin sa confidential funds diha sa impeachment trial. Unsay imong ikasulti?” (The discussion of the confidential funds issue is now at the impeachment trial. What do you say about this?)
The responses from the netizens were:
∙ from Erwin Baquial: Waste of time. After all even the mayors have theirs even spending it as if they own the money. There are pressing probs – 1. Mitigate the effects of high prices of oil, 2. Rampant drug probs & 3. GRAND CORRUPTION
- from Angelo Balili: There’s never a waste of time when you do something tht is right. It only says tht if you are given the chance, you will do the same.
∙ from Rhine Pamaong: Dapat tanang government agencies or officials with confidential funds imbestigaron. Why single out one person when we know for a fact that there are also officials with unliquidated confidential funds. Selective Justice?
∙ from Emelia Cagas to Rhine Pamaong: Exactly Doc
∙ from Liberato Jr Lupot to Rhine Pamaong: Sir the biggest project of BBM is to eliminate Sara as their hindrance in 2028 because BBM wants to stay in power for 20 years. Do you know his adviser? He is now dead and he was the adviser of Marcos Sr. May he not rest in peace.
∙ from Antonio Josol Salon Jr.: Naay klaro nga Flood Control Scandal adto gyud sa confidential funds. E audit tanan nga naay Confidential funds from President down to VP, Senators, Congressman ug uban pa. Usik-usik ra sa oras. Tax Payers gihapon ga bayad ana nga trial. Saba mo diha oi!
∙ from Gen Gen: Yes ma’am!
∙ from Ardy Ines Araneta Batoy to Gen Gen: Salamat Gen
∙ from Angelo Balili: That’s why they can afford to maintain troll farms, spreading fake news and disinformation. Unfortunately many Boholanos refuse to see and hear!
∙ from Liberato Jr Lupot: Let them define confidential from dictionary or from ChatGPT.
∙ from Angelo Balili: Clear as day that the funds were misused for personal gain. Carry over from the Malpractice in Davao.
∙ from Maria Flores Vaño Adiong: I go for the impeachment so that people may know and be serious of their accountability, dili mag jamajama pg gasto, ang kuha, and hoping that those who are given CF will realize MATAUHAN, and mag binuotan
∙ from Rey Louis Ibarra: #SanaSaraALL!!!
∙ from Rony Malanog to Erwin Baquial: Wapoy lig-ong ebidensya napakita…
∙ from RG Loberts: From what I have observed from D1 CONFID Funds Trial, the Prosecution Team has not yet presented an air tight, convincing, strong evidences to prove the GUILT of the Respondent VP Sara. Moreover, there were inconsistencies, controverting and questionable & half-baked statements of the Prosecution witness while he was Cross Examined by the Defense Counsel. The test of proving Beyond Reasonable Doubt has not been met and satisfied, hence, VP Sara should be Acquitted!
∙ from Daisy Galinato: Wala may problema ug naay impeachment si VP kaso dugay kaayo 3months. Migasto sila ug billions unya naa pa jud daghan problema unta sagubangon nga mas importante pero na delay na pud tungod Ani nga impeachment…
∙ from Ardy Ines Araneta Batoy to Daisy Galinato: Unsa man pud nang daghang problema nga wala masulbad, daisy tungod sa impeachment trial?
∙ from Tungal Cruz Roy: Waste of time.
∙ from Ardy Ines Araneta Batoy to Tungal Cruz Roy: Unsa may waste if time ani Roy?
∙ from Røl Jagűnos: Mas dako pa nagasto sa impeachment kaysa confidential fund ni VP. SAMOK² RAMAN.
∙ from Jeconias Ursos: Stop the Circus
∙ from Perds Dompor Sumampong: Confidential and intelligent funds are sources of corruption. A stringent process must be in place to ensure proper disbursements.
∙ from Ardy Ines Araneta Batoy to Perds Dompor Sumampong: Salamat Perds.
