SB Batuan unanimously passed Resolution No. 13-20-2026 on Aug. 10, 2026 requesting the Bohol Provincial Gov’t thru the SP, to ban the sale, manufacture, and shipment of modified/non-stock mufflers province-wide. Batuan Vice Mayor Antonino Jumawid seated, (center) said the use of modified mufflers is illegal and has disturbed community tranquillity. The SB noted that a municipal ordinance is not effective because mufflers are shipped and sold from outside towns, and a uniform provincial rule will close loopholes and prevent cross-border trading.
