KEW HOTEL PANGLAO
Sharpens the Art of Frontline and Customer Service through Effective Communication
Good service makes guests smile. Great service makes them come back.

Five days ago, that was the mission inside the newly opened FLORANTA RESTAURANT in the heart of Tagbilaran City, as the entire KEW HOTEL PANGLAO team pressed pause on their daily duties for something just as important — learning how to serve best.
The venue was filled with jolly smiles and real vibrance from the very start. For a team preparing to spend everyday by welcoming guests, answering calls, and handling the rush, this day was different. They traded their usual posts for a full day of learning, laughter, and leveling up.
Setting the tone for the day was KEW HOTEL PANGLAO Operatrions Manager Ariel Lumbres, with a powerful reminder that frontlining is not just a task. It is the face, the voice, and the first impression of true Boholano hospitality.
Leading the activity was Seminar and Workshop Facilitator Chandymar Araneta-Batoy, who quickly proved that effective training does not have to be dull. Blending fun with substance, he kept the energy high and the team fully engaged. Through interactive games, realistic role-plays, and honest sharing of on-the-job experiences, the Frontlining through Effective Communication Seminar became more than a lecture — it became a shared experience.

This is what sharpening the saw is all about. More than scripts and standard greetings, the team dived into the heart of communication:
- Not just to reply, but to truly understand what the guest needs.
- Not just to talk but speak with empathy, clarity, and confidence even under pressure.
- Not just to respond but to transform a difficult encounter or complaint into an opportunity to win a loyal guest.
There were no wallflowers in the room. There were no passive listeners. From the newest hires to the most seasoned staff, everyone joined in with gusto — participating, laughing, reflecting, and growing together.
By the end of the day, one lesson stood out clearly: EFFECTIVE COMMUNICATION is the secret ingredient that turns good service into great service. And at FLORANTA RESTAURANT and KEW HOTEL PANGLAO, that ingredient is now stronger, sharper, and more heartfelt than ever.
The smiles that filled the restaurant that morning were still there when the workshop ended — this time backed by stronger skills, deeper confidence, and a renewed passion to serve every guest, the KEW way.
KEW HOTEL PANGLAO Team is ready!
