In order to further improve the farm to market road (FMR) projects in the province, Vice Governor Rene Lopez Relampagos led the Sangguniang Panlalawigan (SP) in giving authority to Gov. Arthur Yap to sign the Deed of Conditional Sale for the acquisition of a lot which is needed for the rehabilitation of the Alegria-Bugho farm to market road in Loboc, Bohol.

In its regular session on Tuesday, September 14, 2021, the SP approved the said resolution that was necessary in order to complete the road project under the I-Build component of the Philippine Rural Development Project (RDP) of the Department of Agriculture (DA) and World Bank (WB).

Provincial Planning and Development Officer A John Titus Vistal explained during the Pre-Session meeting of the SP that the said project in Alegria, Loboc is more than 90% complete. However, the FMR is yet to be completed because of a portion of the area that remains under private ownership.

According to Vistal, the province has actually begun an expropriation proceeding, but the RDP and National Project Coordinating Office of the DA advised the PGBh to just negotiate for the lot purchase because it is easier and quicker than expropriation.

Under the said Deed of Conditional Sale, the PGBh will acquire a lot area of 1,128 meters situated in Alegria, Loboc, Bohol. The lot will be used for the completion of the said FMR.

Accordingly, the PGBh has already allocated the amount for this purpose.

Relampagos said the completion of this project is long overdue and the approval of the authority is necessary in order to expedite the lacking action that is needed to be done in order to complete the said project.
